Save the Date – Montgomery Triple Challenge 2018 – Early Registration
Get ready! The Montgomery Triple Challenge is moving from Skillman Park to Van Horne Park this fall! We are set to bring a bit of pizzazz, community involvement, and local entertainment in the new location.
Of course, we do want you to really understand the biggest part of this event – it’s a community fundraiser for the Montgomery EMS and new this year is Rocky Hill EMS. While the races have a fee, all the rest of the entertainment is 100% free! (OK, maybe the food trucks have a fee. That would have blown the budget. We hope you understand.) SO, register early, share the link so others register often. Let’s participate together for this year to be bigger than the last!
Last year, some kids raced the triathlon after watching their parents do triathlons and marathons. So, we added parent-child races such as the three-legged race. (Others asked about including pets, and we haven’t figured that bit out yet. Perhaps next year!)
In addition, the move of venue means the Montgomery Rec teams get to showcase their sports and teach your children and neighbors about flag football, lacrosse, cricket, and more! (We might even see what twists and turns they might offer for adults to keep everyone involved. More on that as we iron out the details and the participation levels.)
A few 5-7 year old attendees were unable to participate as they still were working on their biking skills. Did you know tricycles and bikes with training wheels are OK to ride? When we mentioned scooters would be an option for this year’s event, parent’s faces broke out into smiles! So, that’s been added too.
Last year, did you miss the bubble guy as he put amazing large bubbles into the sky? Be sure to stick around until the awards ceremony as we have fun planned for everyone all day long.
We look forward to your support, and we’re always available for ideas, suggestions, and recommendations. Please reach out to us by sending a message via our Contact page.
